While our classes are online, we will be using Google apps under GSuite for Education. These applications support teaching and learning in a way that is streamlined, collaborative, and user-friendly. Click on the icons to know more about each application.
We have chosen to use Google Classroom as the basic learning management system for the school, given its ease-of-use and accessibility. Google Classroom allows us to keep the online requirement for remote learning simple and platform-agnostic (since it is browser-based) and allows us to seamlessly integrate use of the entire gamut of Google Suite services for communication and online collaboration.
Additionally, we are studying the use of Seesaw as LMS for the primary grades and looking for more a robust LMS for High School. We are also finalizing our educational technology stack or “tech stack”, a default set of software applications and online service which teachers and students can use for remote learning. In our selection of tools, we were guided, among other things, by considerations of ubiquity, ease-of use and cost. Most of these are web apps that can be downloaded for free or do not require installation as they run on your installed browser.
