Northfield students don't have to wait for a scheduled consultation session in order to receive personalized support from their teachers. The school has set up various communication channels where students give feedback on their understanding of a lesson and teachers respond or adjust accordingly.

Aside from the existing email and SMS channels already in use, we will make use of the following to facilitate communication during remote learning:
Subject teachers will host individual Google Classrooms per subject where learning resources, self- paced or asynchronous activities, deadlines and other announcements, and student interaction can take place virtually.
Aside from a dedicated Google Classroom per subject, there will be an Online Hub per year level that consolidates links to essential information and announcements relevant to the class. There will also be a general, public hub that will serve as a Virtual Campus for students and parents who are checking in to the school.
To facilitate coordination and communication, students will be given official Northfield email accounts prior to the start of the school year/ The student email account serves as the primary email channel for communicating with the students on academic activities and will facilitate his use of Google Classroom.
Scheduled (“live”) synchronous sessions with the Subject Teacher, during which time instruction can be given and clarifications or questions can be answered. There will also be specified hours in the students’ weekly schedule during which the subject teachers and Class Advisers can be available for consultation.
Daily and/or scheduled check-ins with the Class Adviser and subject teachers, via Google Classroom, Google Meet or Zoom.
