Dr. Marimuthu Andiappan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical, Biological and Materials Engineering at the University of South Florida (USF). His research focuses on plasmonic and Mie resonance-enhanced photocatalysis, solar energy conversion, and sustainable production of fuels and chemicals. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2013 and previously served as a Research Scientist at Eli Lilly & Company.
My group works in the area of plasmonic nanomaterials and high-dielectric metal oxide nanomaterials-based photocatalytic processes, solar energy conversion and storage, sustainable production of fuels, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, and carbon dioxide (CO₂) conversion.
