Daejeon, South Korea 2023
I am an experienced astrophysicist with a scientific research dedicated to understand the physical processes responsible of the evolution of galaxies.
During the last years, I have been teaching astronomy, physics, and general science to high school and college students. I also have been mentoring high school students to set them for academic success and readiness for college.
I got my Ph.D. from the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics (INAOE) in Mexico, in 2016. My Ph.D. was awarded as one of the best at a national level.
My postdoctoral path - In 2016, I won an UNAM/DGAPA fellowship in Mexico to perform two years of postdoctoral research. Then, in 2018, I won a South Korean fellowship to perform four years of postdoctoral research. During these years, I published scientific articles and won observational time from the Gran Telescopio Canarias in Spain to observe a sample of quasars. I also mentored students and organized seminars. Based on my academic performance, in 2019, the International Astronomical Union awarded me a Junior membership.
