I am an experienced astrophysicist with a pasion for teaching and outreach.
I have published scientific articles, participated in, and lead, different collaborations, attended national/international meetings, and mentored graduated students.
Recently, I have been acquiring experience teaching science, mentoring student to ensure their academic success and readiness for college, and supporting Spanish speaker parents and students effective communications with and understanding of the school system.
I got my Ph.D. from the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics (INAOE) in Mexico, in 2016. My Ph.D. was awarded as one of the best at a national level.
My postdoctoral path - In 2016, I won an UNAM/DGAPA fellowship in Mexico to perform two years of postdoctoral research. Then, in 2018, I won a South Korean fellowship to perform four years of postdoctoral research. During these years, I published scientific articles and won observational time from the Gran Telescopio Canarias in Spain to observe a sample of quasars. I also mentored students and organized seminars. Based on my academic performance, in 2019, the International Astronomical Union awarded me a Junior membership.
