María Medina de la Torre

I am Contratada Ramón y Cajal (tenure track Assistant Professor) at the Department of Mathematics of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. I previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Universidad de Granada as an Athenea3i fellow (Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action Cofund 2016 EU project 754446) for two years, and at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile with a Fondecyt Posdoctorado grant of three years of duration. I obtained my Ph. D. in June 2015 from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

My research interests lie in the field of Partial Differential Equations. More precisely some of the topics I work on are:

  • Singular elliptic and parabolic equations.

  • Nonlocal phenomena.

  • Variational techniques.

  • Concentration phenomena: finite-dimensional reduction methods.
