About me

I am Assistant Professor at the Department of Statistics, Mathematical Analysis and Optimization of the University of Santiago de Compostela, in Spain. I obtained a PhD in statistics in September 2022 by the Universities of Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña and Vigo, while being a member of the Galician Center for Mathematical Research and Technology (CITMAga). Before that, I received a master degree in statistics by the same universities and a bachelor degree in mathematics by the University of Santiago de Compostela.

After completing my PhD research in New approaches to nonparametric circular regression models, supervised by Prof. Rosa M. Crujeiras, I became a postdoctoral researcher at the Research Center for Operations Research and Statistics (ORSTAT) of KU Leuven, in Belgium. After one year improving my knowledge and research skills in Leuven, I returned to my home country to become a  "María de Maeztu" postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Granada (IMAG), in Spain.  Since april 2024 I am Assistant Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela.
