Graduated in Medicine at the University of Perugia in 2005, residency in Gastroenterology at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome in 2009, and PhD in Endoscopic Treatment of Obesity at the Catholic University of Rome in 2013. Currently consultant Gastroenterologist at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS, Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology at the Catholic University of Rome, Italy. Since 2009 Instructor and Faculty Member of the European Endoscopy Training Center (EETC) and IRCAD France. Inventor of the Boškoski-Costamagna ERCP Training model. Since 2018 secretary and advisory board member of the Centre for Endoscopic Research Therapeutics and Training (CERTT) of the Catholic University of Rome. From 2022 member of the Boverning Board of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE).
Main focus on biliopancreatic endoscopy (ERCP), cholangioscopy, management of biliopancreatic complications, including the endoscopic management of postoperative complications, biliopancreatic malignancy, chronic pancreatitis and its complications and biliopancreatic extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, bariatric endoscopy procedures as Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG), by-pass revisions and treatment of bariatric surgery complications and Regenerative Endoscopy. Author and co-author of many peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and abstracts and lecturer at many national and international meetings, including live endoscopy workshops.
