ADJUSTED STEP 22.85"
With no adjustment, the "pyware hash" is located 30 inches in front of the painted back hash mark. By expanding the steps size to 22.85 inches and adding one more step between the hashes, it allows for a dot to be placed directly on to the back painted hash mark.
Although adjusting the steps between the front and back hash will line up the grid with the painted hashes, it does not align with the original "pyware hash". Drill designers must adjust the back hash on the drill to accommodate the adjusted step.
