I am a PhD Fellow at the Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication, Stockholm School of Economics and an Associate at the Energy Policy Group, within the Clean Economy team. I hold an MSc degree in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics and a BSc in Economics, Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick. I am the recipient of a Hedelius scholarship and of the Unicredit Masterscholarship for top students. My previous work experience includes the European Central Bank, the World Bank, the Romanian Ministry of Economy, as well as at the Romanian Permanent Representation to the European Union.
My research is focused on industrial policy in the green transition, on the costs and challenges arising from the decarbonisation of heavy industries (i.e. steel, ammonia, methanol), and on designing policy instruments to address these obstacles. I am comfortable with both quantitative and qualitative methods.
