Overview
The Human Resource Specialist is under the Human Resource Department, who's task deals with issues related to people, such as: compensation, hiring, organization development, safety, wellness, benefits, employee motivation, communication, administration, and training.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare and review compensation and benefits packages
- Implement training and development plans
- Plan quarterly and annual performance review sessions
- Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
- Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records
- Forecast hiring needs and ensure recruitment process runs smoothly
- Develop and implement HR policies throughout the organization
- Monitor budgets by department
- Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation
Other Job Duties:
- Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Maintains listing of approved positions along with assigned salary grade levels.
- Processes personnel action forms and ensures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms.
- Prepares new-hire paperwork.
- Assists in hiring process by coordinating job posting on the website, reviewing resumes, and performing telephone interviews and reference checks.
- Maintains the employee handbook with updated resolutions and other pertinent information, as needed.

- Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
- Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process
- Familiarity with full cycle recruiting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving abilities

- Familiarity with full cycle recruiting
- Extensive knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite), computer hardware and computer servers
Education and Experience:
- Graduate in BSBA in Human Resource Development Management, AB in Psychology and Human Resource Management, or other related courses.
- Minimum of two years of job-related experience, preferably in a human resource department; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Physical Demands:
This job normally operates in a professional office environment but may be required to do out of office work like visit SSS, Pag-Ibig, or PhilHealth offices, and/or visit branches to implement trainings and development plan, join DOLE / University Job Fairs.
