This Privacy Policy explains how Map Reel (“the App”) handles information when you use the App. Map Reel is provided by Dream Traveler (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
Map Reel allows you to select photos, enter place names, and set locations on a map to create animated map videos.
The App may access the following information only when you choose to provide it:
Photos selected through your device’s photo picker
Place names and other text entered in the App
Map locations selected manually by you
Animation, map, and export settings
Map Reel does not require an account and does not access your device’s current GPS location.
Your photos, place names, selected locations, project settings, and generated videos are processed locally on your device.
We do not upload your photos, projects, or generated videos to our own servers. Generated videos are saved to your device only when you choose to export them.
Your locally stored app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App.
Map Reel requires an internet connection to download map content used for previews and video creation.
Map content is provided through OpenFreeMap and related OpenStreetMap-based services. When the App requests map content, technical information such as your IP address, device or browser information, and request details may be processed by the relevant map infrastructure as necessary to deliver the content.
Map Reel does not use map requests to track your movements or determine your current location.
Map Reel offers optional one-time purchases through Google Play Billing.
Purchases and payment transactions are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your full payment card or bank account information. The App receives limited purchase information from Google Play, such as purchase status and product entitlement, to provide purchased features and restore eligible purchases.
Google’s handling of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your photos, place names, selected locations, projects, or generated videos with advertisers or data brokers.
Information may be processed by third-party services only where necessary to provide map content, process purchases, or comply with applicable law.
The current version of Map Reel does not contain third-party advertising SDKs.
If advertising is added in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the App’s Google Play Data safety information will be updated before that version is released.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information handled by the App. However, no device, network connection, or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for controlling access to photos and videos stored on your device.
Map Reel does not operate user accounts or store your projects on our own servers.
You can delete generated videos through your device’s photo or file management application. You can delete locally stored App data by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App.
Google Play may retain purchase records in accordance with its own legal obligations and privacy policies.
Map Reel is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information in connection with the App, please contact us.
Map Reel may be used internationally. Third-party map and purchase services may process technical information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to their respective privacy policies and applicable laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features, third-party services, or legal requirements change.
Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
