I'm Dr. Mansi Singh, currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Institute for Machine Learning and Data Science (MIDS), Katholische University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) in Ingolstadt, Germany(Jan 2025 - Present). My position is part of the research project DFG-SFB Transregio TRR 181 "Energy Transfers in Atmosphere and Ocean". I work for the subproject M3 - "Towards Consistent Subgrid Momentum Closures" with Prof. Marcel Oliver.
Prior to that I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Applied Mechanics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras for the periodSept 2024 - Dec 2024 with Prof. Anubhab Roy.
I completed my PhDfrom the Department of Mathematics of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India, under the supervision ofDr. Rupanwita Gayen in the research area of "Surface gravity wave structure interactions (hydrodynamics)" (Applied Mathematics). More specifically my doctoral research focused on the"Mathematical study of interaction of surface gravity waves with structures having variable structural properties". I have also been a recipient of the prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellowship, an initiative of the Government of India, for the duration Jan 2021 - Jul 2024.
