Construction Technology

Construction Tech (Building and Property Maintenance) uses classroom, Laboratory and project site experiences, along with rigorous academic coursework to teach the essential skills and knowledge common to the construction industry. Students learn masonry, framing, plumbing, wiring, dry wall, roofing, remodeling, construction management, blueprint reading and many other skills through both class shop work and field experience. Every year Construction Tech students build a house from the ground up for habitat for humanity and build or repair many other projects for other community entities.

When they graduate they can join an apprenticeship program, go directly into the industry or continue their education and purse a Construction Management Degree at Columbus State Community College with articulated college credit from our program.
