We're expanding quickly, and looking for great folks to join us in our crusade to keep our clients' properties looking sharp. If you like digging in the dirt or pulling weeds, we want to talk to you. Click the following to be taken to our Jobs page for more info. (Or, message us using the Contact Us form.)
The man behind the beard! Grant Bridgford grew up helping out neighbors South of Grand (Des Moines) with their lawn needs and years later, he's still at it! Roosevelt High School and Simpson College alum, with a degree in Biology. His professional background varies from groundskeeping and nature conservation to environmental consulting for commercial and educational entities. He enjoys spending his time outside hunting for morel mushrooms, and, yes, even yard work. When Iowa weather gets too cold, you can find him on the couch watching football or at the nearest karaoke night.
Meet Grant's partner, Leah Ackerman, the behind-the-scenes chaos coordinator. She grew up in Ames, the daughter of a professional groundskeeper and avid gardener. Leah has a B.S. in Business from Iowa State University with an emphasis in merchandising which comes in handy making garden spaces look fresh. Self-proclaimed plant hoarder and cat lady, she is known for rehabbing houseplants and finding them the perfect forever homes. Her professional background is quite varied, from merchandising positions with some of the most notorious brands (Lowe's, Coach, Nike, Tailgate Clothing and others), customer service, and her women's wellness and energy coaching business. She infuses the good vibes into all our garden plans to keep them flourishing for our clients for years to come.
Our staff consists of experienced groundskeepers and gardeners who pride themselves in taking care of our clients' outdoor spaces as if they were their own. Although the name may be misleading, we are proud to hire inclusively ... as long as they enjoy digging in the dirt!
