Researcher. Educator. Engineer.
I am a researcher, educator, and engineer. I have 6 years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research and I am currently completing my PhD in STEM education with an emphasis in quantitative methods in social science. I am passionate about research and place high value on being able to disseminate my findings to policy- and practice-audiences to ensure that my work is impactful on a larger scale. My background also includes engineering (a B. Eng. in Mechanical Engineering & a M. S. in Engineering Mathematics), science (a M. S. in Environmental and Earth System Science), and 2.5 years of high school science teaching plus over 4 years of university-level teaching. I am experienced in advanced statistical and qualitative research methodologies and I am currently the lead researcher and designer on an interdisciplinary research project where I manage a team of 15 undergraduates, graduate students, professors, and teachers with varied backgrounds including Education, Engineering, Psychology, Statistics, Sociology, Communications, and Mathematics. In my free time I love to hike, camp, rock climb, tinker, and design experiments to conduct on my family and friends.
