Mandar M. Deshmukh

About:

I am an experimentalist working in the broad area of condensed matter physics and materials science. My group's work focuses on diverse aspects of nanoscale physics, with particular expertise in topological condensed matter, the physics of Josephson junctions, nanomechanics and 2D materials.

I have been a faculty member at TIFR since January 2006 in the Department of Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Science. Before coming to TIFR, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard. I did my graduate research for my Ph.D. in the Physics Department at Cornell. I received my undergraduate degree (B.Tech.) in Engineering Physics from IIT Bombay.
