Welcome to the University of Manchester's Big Band Website!
The Manchester University Big Band is a high-standard, auditioned big band, playing many gigs and events throughout the year. We play a diverse range of big band music, from swing numbers all the way to contemporary rep and everything in between.

Here's a taste of what to expect from us! We are a 20 piece big band, playing anything from swing, to latin and contemporary music.
One of our favourite gigs throughout the year is always our final gig at Matt and Phreds. Here, you can hear us play Torque by Alan Baylock with the 25/26 band.Â
