Thomas Kenworthy was born on 26 December 1903, and he was baptised at Mortomley, Chapeltown, Yorkshire on 24 January 1904, the son of Gad and Edna Kenworthy, Miner of Piece End, Chapeltown. Parents, Gad Kenworthy and Edna Marsh had married in December quarter of 1897 in the district of Wortley, Yorkshire.
In 1891, Gad and Edna Kenworthy are with their children, Allan M aged 6, and Vincent aged 2. They are living at Piece End, High Green, Chapeltown.
By 1911 the family have moved to Nottinghamshire, and Gad and Edna Kenworthy are with their children: Allan aged 17, Vincent 13, Leonard 9, Thomas 7, Ernest 5, Emily 2, and Eveline aged 7 weeks. They are living at 19 Mount Pleasant, Stoneyford Road, Sutton in Ashfield, Notts.
Thomas Kenworthy aged 14, Pony Driver of 9 Byron Road, Maltby, was accidentally killed on Monday 9 December 1918 at Maltby Main Colliery. His death was registered in December 1918 at Rotherham.
