The birth of Peter Club was registered in June quarter of 1873 in the district of Leigh, Lancashire. His mothers maiden name is recorded as Littler. He was baptised on 16 August 1874 in Lowton, Wigan, Lancashire, the son of James and Margaret Clubb.

The marriage of James Clubb and Margaret Littler, had been registered in December quarter 1854 in Warrington district.

In 1871, James and Margaret Clubb are with their children: James Littler aged 17, John Clubb 15, Lassey Clubb 14, Charles Clubb 9, Sarah Clubb 8, Mary Clubb 6, Margaret Clubb 3, Fanney Clubb 2, and Annie Clubb under 1 month. The family are living at Edge Green Lane, Ashton in Makerfield, Wigan, Lancashire.

Sadly, the death aged 41 of Peter's mother Margaret Clubb was registered in March quarter 1877 in Wigan, Lancashire.

In 1881, Peter Clubb aged 8, and his older brother John Clubb aged 26, are boarders with the family of their sister Lassey and her husband Enoch Perry and their children: Jemima Perry aged 4, and Thomas Perry aged 2 months. They are living at Parr Flat, Prescot, Lancashire. The marriage of Lassey Clubb and Enoch Perry had been registered in March quarter 1877 in Leigh, Lancashire.

In 1891, Peter Clubb aged 17 and James Clubb 73 (Peter's father?), are lodging with Peter's sister Lassy and her husband Enoch Perry, and children: Jemima Perry 13, and Thomas Perry aged 10. The family are living at 188 Oldham Road, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire.

Peter Clubb was married in 1894 to Jemima Green. The marriage was registered in March quarter 1894 in Wigan district.

In 1901, Peter aged 27 and Jemima Clubb aged 25, are with their children: Margaret Clubb aged 6, Arthur Clubb aged 4, and John Clubb aged 1. The family are living at Stockidale, Marton, Fylde, Lancashire.

In 1911, Peter Clubb, Coal Miner aged 36 and Charles Clubb (brother?), Coal Miner aged 50 are boarders with the family of Tom and Mary Agus, at 7 Muglet Lane, Maltby, Yorkshire.

Peter's wife Jemima Clubb in 1911, is with their children: Margaret aged 16, James Arthur aged 5, and Ethel Clubb aged 1. Jemima is recoded as aged 35, having been married for 17 years, and 7 children have been born, but 3 children have died. They are living at 9 Unsworth Street, Radcliffe, Lancashire.

Peter Clubb was seriously injured on Saturday 4th April 1914 at Maltby Main Colliery, and he died in Rotherham Hospital on Sunday 12th April 1914. His death was registered in June quarter 1914 at Rotherham. (Somehow, Peter's surname in the General Register Office death indexes has been incorrectly recorded as Chubb.)

Charles Clubb 17, also a coal miner hewer at Maltby Main Colliery, and daughter Ethel Clubb aged 11. They are living at 17 Coleridge Road, Maltby, Nr Rotherham.

The marriage of James Arthur Clubb to Jesse Butters was registered in September quarter 1023 in Rotherham district. The birth of their son Charles Clubb was registered in March quarter 1924 in Rotherham district. The birth of daughter Doris E. Clubb was registered in September quarter 1930 in Rotherham district.

On the 1939 Register, James A. Clubb, Colliery Deputy born 16 February 1902, Jesse Clubb born 8 December 1903, Charles Clubb born 10 December 1923, (the next record is redacted.) Also, Jesse Clubb's parents, Robert and Lucy Butters. The family are living at number 1 Deacon Crescent, Maltby.
