The marriage of James Clubb and Margaret Littler, had been registered in December quarter 1854 in Warrington district.
In 1871, James and Margaret Clubb are with their children: James Littler aged 17, John Clubb 15, Lassey Clubb 14, Charles Clubb 9, Sarah Clubb 8, Mary Clubb 6, Margaret Clubb 3, Fanney Clubb 2, and Annie Clubb under 1 month. The family are living at Edge Green Lane, Ashton in Makerfield, Wigan, Lancashire.
Sadly, the death aged 41 of Peter's mother Margaret Clubb was registered in March quarter 1877 in Wigan, Lancashire.
In 1881, Peter Clubb aged 8, and his older brother John Clubb aged 26, are boarders with the family of their sister Lassey and her husband Enoch Perry and their children: Jemima Perry aged 4, and Thomas Perry aged 2 months. They are living at Parr Flat, Prescot, Lancashire. The marriage of Lassey Clubb and Enoch Perry had been registered in March quarter 1877 in Leigh, Lancashire.

Peter Clubb was seriously injured on Saturday 4th April 1914 at Maltby Main Colliery, and he died in Rotherham Hospital on Sunday 12th April 1914. His death was registered in June quarter 1914 at Rotherham. (Somehow, Peter's surname in the General Register Office death indexes has been incorrectly recorded as Chubb.)

The marriage of James Arthur Clubb to Jesse Butters was registered in September quarter 1023 in Rotherham district. The birth of their son Charles Clubb was registered in March quarter 1924 in Rotherham district. The birth of daughter Doris E. Clubb was registered in September quarter 1930 in Rotherham district.
