This competition is open for all ages and nationalities. The piece submitted must not have been published or performed in any form previously.
While the presence of the finalists at the performance is very welcome, no related costs can be covered by Malmö Gitarrforum.

Malmö Gitarrforum
was formed in 2021 primarily as a community intensive for classical guitarists in the Öresund Region.
Our regular activity consists of arranging workshops, open stage, social activities and other events focusing on community building.
In 2023 Malmö Gitarrforum announced its first composition contest for guitar and string quartet. In 2024 the organization hosted a guitar festival in honor of Ida Presti’s 100 year anniversary at Palladium, Malmö. The finalist pieces were performed by Fred Holmlund and Monbijoukvartetten during the final concert of the festival. The festival was arranged in collaboration with Helge Ax:son Johnssons Stiftelse, Kulturrådet, ABF Malmö and Musik i Syd.
