Only £6 on the door - Every 3rd Sunday of the Month

About Us

The Malmesbury Film Society is a friendly group that enjoys getting together each month to watch films and chat.  MFS was started in 1999 to show entertaining films in a friendly local venue for everyone in Malmesbury and the surrounding villages. We are a small non-profit society with all funds used for film and room rental costs. We are members of Cinema for All which supports local community cinema groups.

Films

We show a wide range of engaging films - classics new and old, domestic and foreign. We aim to present unique and memorable films that you would not typically see at the bigger cinemas. About half of our showing are sub-titled foreign language films that you might never have heard of but won't forget after seeing.

Here are some of the films we've shown previously:

Tickets

You can buy your ticket on the door for only £6 per film - no membership or booking is necessary. New people are always welcome. If this is your first film, just turn up a few minutes before the start time and find a seat.

Members

Become a member and you only pay £35 for all 12 films shown each year - that's 6 free films!  The film society depends on membership support. As a member you keep the society running and you get the chance to see amazing films you wouldn't ordinarily consider going to. Just ask to join at the door.

Venue

All films are shown at St. Mary's Hall, a 17th C Grade II listed building used for community events. We have a large screen with a terrific sound system. The hall is hearing loop enabled and has disabled access.  The hall is also available to hire.

Dates and Times

Films are shown the 3rd Sunday of every month - doors open at 7pm with the film starting at 7:30pm. If you aren't on our mailing list yet, just click the button to subscribe.
