I worked as an overhire carpenter alongside UIC technical director Hannah Holmes-Robbins to build and install the sets for the program's productions of Hurricane Diane (Fall 2024) and She Came From The Bronx (Spring 2025). Hurricane Diane was a large unit set that required custom-built door and window units as well as a custom butcher-block countertop. Prefab cabinets were customized and installed to complete the large kitchen space. She Came From The Bronx was an immersive hip-hop show that required large metal flats to be built and installed on tracks in the space as well as a chain-link fence that was rigged to fly out in pieces.Â
