Muhammad Al Amin

Welcome!

I am an applied econometrician working as a data and statistics consultant at the Data and Statistical Services (DSS) lab at Princeton University. I provide instruction, guidance, and consultation with applied econometrics, quantitative research methods, and statistical software to students and scholars at Princeton University.

I received a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Mississippi specializing in international political economy. In addition, I hold Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Economics.

My areas of expertise are in computational social science and international political economy. I have extensive backgrounds in social science methods, statistical software, and computer languages. My primary coding expertise is in Stata, R (RStudio), and SAS.

I have previously worked as a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a leading think tank in Bangladesh, where I worked with primary and secondary data, prepared policy briefs and research reports, and published coauthored papers and book chapters.

When not working, I like to travel, watch movies, play board games, and explore new foods with my wife and daughters. I also love to read history, philosophy, economics,  politics, and classic fiction.
