田辺誠は日本のピアニスト。1964年6月22日生まれ。長崎県佐世保市宇久町出身。中学2年よりピアノを始め、大分県立芸術短期大学付属緑丘高等学校ピアノ専攻卒業。その後、武蔵野音楽大学ピアノ科を卒業し演奏活動を展開する。大分県高等学校音楽コンクールピアノ部門第1位特賞。バイオリニスト潮田益子女史、ソプラノの佐藤美枝子女史等、世界的に活躍する音楽家と多数共演する。1997年からは田辺自身の経験に基づき、福祉に携わる人々への感謝と、音楽を通じたエールを送る為のコンサート「福祉関係者に贈るコンサートシリーズ」を企画し、アクロス福岡シンフォニーホール等で開催する。

このリサイタルは多くのメディアに取り上げられ、NHK(福岡・長崎)、NBC長崎放送では特集が組まれた。2002年には著書「音楽にささえられて」が出版され現在も販売中です。鳥栖ピアノステップ、グレンツェンピアノコンクール、長崎県新人演奏会オーディション等、コンクールの審査も多数。教育機関での公演も展開し学校公演は二世代に渡り続いている。

Makoto Tanabe is a pianist who was born on June 22, 1964, in Uku Town, Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture.

He began studying piano in his second year of junior high school and later graduated from the Piano Department of Midorigaoka High School, affiliated with Oita Prefectural College of Arts and Culture.

He went on to complete his studies at Musashino Academia Musicae, majoring in piano, and subsequently launched his performance career.

Tanabe received First Prize and the Special Award in the Piano Division of the Oita Prefectural High School Music Competition.

Throughout his career, he has performed with many internationally acclaimed musicians, including violinist Masuko Ushioda and soprano Mieko Sato.

Since 1997, inspired by his own experiences, he has organized the concert series “Concerts Dedicated to Welfare Professionals” to express gratitude and encouragement through music.

These concerts have been held at notable venues such as ACROS Fukuoka Symphony Hall.

His recitals have been featured in various media outlets, including NHK (Fukuoka and Nagasaki) and NBC Nagasaki Broadcasting, where special programs were aired.

In 2002, Tanabe published his book “Supported by Music”, which continues to be available today.

He has served as a judge for numerous competitions, including Tosu Piano Step, the Glanzen Piano Competition, and the Nagasaki Prefecture Newcomer Audition.

He also performs at educational institutions, and his school concerts have continued across two generations.
