BAMBOO WOVEN

The photo was taken at a neighboring farm on Samar Island, Philippines using a Canon Powershot 4.0 camera. Here bamboo is used for the walls of a Bahay Kubo -  a traditional stilt house common in rural areas where they can withstand tropical climates with its elevated structure, open design, and steeply pitched roofs. They represent the Filipino characteristics of resilience and communal spirit.
