Majoda Stables

Established 1992

The name "Majoda" was derived from the names of three of the first lesson horses we started with in 1992; MAggie JOhnnie, DAkota!

Majoda Stables was founded in 1992 on the historic Stow farm. The rustic old barns and farmhouse were on the corner of Westfield and Garwood Roads. The buildings were well over one hundred years old! When the Stow's estate was sold to CareOne Assisted Living, the old house and one of the barns were moved to new locations. CareOne was interested in keeping Majoda Stables on as a tenant after the construction. That is why the facility and the barn are of similar architecture!

Safe, well-trained horses and ponies!

Experienced instructors with backgrounds in traditional and "Natural Horsemanship", PATH Member Center and certified instructors, with years of education and riding experience.

Majoda Stables is looking for volunteers, 14 years old and up, who are interested in helping with our Therapeutic program, regular lesson program and barn work. We rely on well-trained, committed people to keep our program operating safely and smoothly!
