Mr. Maitreya Doshi is the Chairman & Managing Director of Premier Ltd. ( formerly known as The Premier Automobiles Ltd.). He graduated from Stanford University, U.S.A., and did his MBA from IMD (Switzerland). He has been associated with the Company for over 28 years and has been responsible for the Company’s strong recent turnaround as well as its new projects.

Mr. Doshi has served CII as Chairman of its International Affairs Sub-Committee, the Family Business Committee, the National and Western Regional Council also as a member of its National Committee on Trade as well as National Committee on Capital Goods and Engineering.

He is also a member of ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India), WIAA (Western India Automobiles Association), an Executive Committee Member of SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) and a permanent member of the Executive Board of IMTMA (Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association). He is also a member of the Governing Board, College of Engineering, Pune.

Maitreya Doshi has been a director on the YPO ( Young President’s Organization) International Board. In 2006-08 he founded YPO’s South Asia Region as its first Regional Chair. In 2004, he was the YPO Bombay Chapter Chair. Mr. Doshi has also set up new YPO Chapters in Colombo and Gujarat. Mr. Doshi has received various international YPO awards including two “Best of the Best” awards for Chapter Education, the Global Networking award, as well as YPO’s Leadership in Global Membership Award.

In 1993, Maitreya Doshi was nominated by the World Economic Forum, Geneva as one of 200 “Global Leaders of Tomorrow” selected from all over the world. He was also the first Indian speaker at Automotive News World Congress, Detroit, USA in 1996.
