I hold a Ph.D. from the Economics Department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I will join Dartmouth College in June as a Postdoc and then as an Assistant Professor in 2026. I will also be a visiting Postdoc at Northwestern University from July to December.

My research interests lie in development economics, education, and labor.

I am a first-generation LITERATE. I was born in a rural area with no hospital, electricity, or running water. Most of my research is based on my life or things I saw growing up. Countless young people are currently facing the challenges I encountered growing up. In my research, I try to answer the question: How can I improve the lives of the millions of "young-me" out there?
