In addition, when creating a slideshow with MAGIX Photostory easy, keep in mind that you are supplementing your self-shot pictures using thematic material to make them a bit more exciting. For this reason, try to stick to classical cross fades and use impressive effects only when they make sense.

I am trying to build a slideshow of 1099 photo's of my grandson from his birth to his 5th birthday. I then want to transfer the slideshow to a DVD. I followed the instructions to open Wizards>Slideshow maker and began the process. I now have a few questions:

See this tutorial for how to do this - although it is for Movie Edit Pro, the principles and method are the same for Photostory - you will need to work in Timeline mode when importing the individual slideshows to make the composite slideshow to ctreate the disc.

Further to what Jeff mentioned, PhotoStory produces video files, so what is called a slideshow actually becomes a video file of still images. You can add music, narration, effects and much more into the project in PhotoStory, but it all becomes a video file at the end.

Are you looking to create a permanent record of the slideshow with your narration or do you just want a slideshow presentation where you speak each time? If the latter, then you are better off using MS PowerPoint. If the former, then, as Jeff indicated, you would record the audio and adjust the duration of each photo (or video) to correspond to your text.

Get it? Got it? Good By KenCoon - 8 Years Ago I was referring to the 5800GB of templates and Title things along with fades and things like that which are in the Additional things in the Help menu.

I finally have the Codecs so I am okay there now.

Thanks

Ken

It's not 5800 GB but "just" MB = 5,8 GB.

Most of it is probably irrelevant for you (if you use the program only to iClone bible stories and publish them on the net)

Eg "Menu templates" are for making menus for DVDs. "Movie templates" are mostly just some smart things for home videos. "Slideshow maker" is for making slide shows from fotos...

I suggest you download "Fade effects" and "Title effects" - and if you want an easy way to get simple background music, then "Soundtrack Maker styles" also.

"Design elements" are mostly just for fun, but there a couple useful things included. "NewBlue Titler" can make special titles, but is a bit difficult to use, i think. Made a slideshow on MAGIX Photostory 2014 Deluxe and the transitions flickers? Please help me on what I am doing wrong. The downloaded temp file had no problem. But when I bought the actual software it is giving me problems.

MAGIX Slideshow Maker is a simple and accessible application which offers you the possibility to effortlessly create slideshows from your digital photos. The application comes with a friendly, wizard-like interface which will help you create great-looking slideshows in just a few simple steps. You can create slideshows in both standard and widescreen views in order to fit your screen. The images can be easily imported by using the integrated file browser. The program lets you set the display time for each photo. You can also rotate the images according to your wishes.

MAGIX Slideshow Maker comes with various style templates which will help you create your slideshows. You can also create your own templates by adjusting various options, such as fades, intensity, effects, etc. The application offers several effects, including zoom, distortion, rotation, camera pan, etc. Furthermore, you have the possibility to add background music to your slideshows. The created slideshows can be saved as WMV video files on your local drive, published on social media websites (Facebook, YouTube, etc), or shared on your online album.

Next, you're able to customise the presentation of your slideshow. You can tweak the transitions Slideshow Maker will use (cuts, fades, 3D rotations and more), select your preferred effects (pans, zooms, rotations, collages and so on), add custom credits and titles, and even apply background music (the program comes with five soundtrack options, but you can also add your own audio file - all the main formats are supported).

And once you're happy with the results, it's just a matter of choosing how you're going to share them with the world. The program can export your slideshow directly to a free online MAGIX album, or publish it directly to your YouTube, Flickr or Facebook account. Or, if you'd like a local copy, then you can also export it as a WMV video in either web (640x480) or DVD (720x576) quality.

Magix (or MAGIX Software) is a German software company specializing in video editing, audio editing, DAW and photo slideshow software.[1] The company is based in Berlin, with locations in Madison, Wisconsin, Dresden and Lbbecke, as well as Huizen in the Netherlands.[2]

It feels like Photostory Deluxe 2020 is well behind the competition when it comes to full image editing. That's not too much of a disadvantage, as this software is clearly aimed at older users who don't want something as technically advanced as the likes of Photoshop CC, and just want to make slideshows instead. Indeed, the marketing blurb talks about 'making slideshows to show the family' and 'burning onto a DVD' as a gift. Whil Photostory Deluxe 2020 does not earn a spot on our guide to the best photo editing software, it places well on our list of the best photo slideshow software packages.

When we published a slideshow with Photostory Deluxe, our images looked crisp and professional, even after adding filters and color-changing effects. This program lets you export your projects in a number of ways, including as common file formats such as AVI and MPEG-4. You can even create projects specifically for phone screens or HDTVs. Should you want to give a physical copy to friends or family, you can burn your slideshow to DVD or Blu-ray. If you prefer to simply post your creations to social media, the program can help you directly post to Facebook and YouTube.

Photostory Deluxe is not as advanced as other software applications, despite being a similar price. It is, however, a very simple program that almost anyone can use. The intuitive interface and artistic freedom that this program provides makes it a good choice for inexperienced slideshow creators.

Set the length you want each photo to be on the screen in the Duration box. You can also type in an exact length for your slideshow. The Slideshow Creator automatically adjusts the duration of each photo proportionally so the sequence fits within the time you defined.
