Magellan decides to intersect a campus bus and hitch a ride with his Faculty ID. His ID grants him a plethora of amenities on campus. One being access to the school library. Being that he is also a student he would have access anyway, but this ID allows him a multitude more check outs than a normal Student ID, which will allow him to come up with the perfect thesis. He checks the bus route and unfortunately he just missed the last bus for some time. Now he has decided to trek the rest of the way because the distance is short.
