At Maey’s House, we take a careful and detailed set of measurements at the beginning of your order to ensure your garment fits beautifully. Your piece will be created based on these measurements.
For clients who are not able to attend in person, we will arrange a Teams or WhatsApp video call to guide you through taking your measurements correctly. You will need a measuring tape, a waist tape, a pen and paper, and someone to assist you.
If you prefer to send in your measurements independently, please take your time and ensure they are accurate. Your garment will be made exactly to the measurements provided, and we are unable to take responsibility for any inaccuracies submitted.
If there is a noticeable change in weight between fittings and we have not been informed beforehand, additional charges may apply for any adjustments needed.
Fittings are strictly by appointment and take place at our Manchester studio.
Please bring the shoes you plan to wear with your outfit, as this helps us achieve the most accurate fit. Accessories are optional, but can be helpful if you would like to see the full look come together.
Fittings are held Monday to Friday between 4pm - 7pm and Saturdays 12pm - 5pm. Appointments outside these hours may be possible by special request.
We ask that you attend fittings alone unless prior approval has been given to bring someone with you.
For long‑distance clients, we may request permission to fit your garment on a model with similar proportions. Fitting videos will be sent to you for review. This step is optional but recommended for clarity and accuracy.
If you request changes to previously agreed‑upon design details during fittings, additional fees may apply depending on the nature of the changes.
A non‑refundable consultation fee of £60 is required to secure your appointment. This fee is added to your overall garment cost.
By proceeding with your order, you acknowledge and agree to all terms listed on this page.
Clients must be 18 years or older. Please do not book on behalf of a minor.
A 70% initial deposit is required before production begins. The remaining 30% balance is due upon completion of your garment.
Your production timeline begins only after the initial deposit has been received and confirmed.

10 weeks for bridal designs (subject to changes depending on style)
Orders required earlier than these timelines will be treated as express orders and will incur an additional fee.

To ensure a smooth and efficient process, major design changes cannot be accepted once payment has been made. This includes changes to fabric, silhouette, or any significant design elements, as production and material sourcing begin immediately after the initial deposit is paid.
Minor alterations, such as small fit adjustments, are included. Major changes, such as silhouette changes or fabric replacements, are not included and fall under the policy above.
