The World Quizzing Championships have been held annually since 2003 and now take place in over 140 venues in 45 countries around the world. The quiz is a written test taken on the same day everywhere, consisting of 240 questions across a broad variety of culturally-diverse subjects.

2017 World Quiz results are listed HERE.

The inaugural Junior World Quizzing Championship was held September 16th in many of the same venues. It had half as many questions as the main quiz (120 instead of 240), with the same broad variety of culturally-diverse subjects, and was taken in two 45-minute periods.

2017 Junior World Quiz results are listed HERE.

The Madison, Wisconsin area is a world-class academic hub and an active pub trivia center, and thus an ideal regional locale for this challenging mind sport. The quiz is free and open to all but seating is limited so a pre-registration email is required, especially if you plan to travel from out-of-town.

For the general details about the global events, including quiz format, rules, history, sample questions, and a list of the venue locations in other states and countries, please visit the official WORLD QUIZZING CHAMPIONSHIPS and JUNIOR WORLD QUIZZING CHAMPIONSHIPS websites.
