A versatile researcher with over 15 years of experience, currently holding the position of Principal Scientist at CSIR - National Institute of Science Communication & Policy Research, New Delhi, India and concurrently serves as a Visiting Professor at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I possess excellence in researching to extract knowledge and insights from various forms of data, both structured and unstructured, utilizing advanced data science techniques. My areas of research interest span Socio-Economic Impact Assessment, Environment & Sustainability, Data-Driven STI Policy, and Scientometric Analysis.


As an articulate communicator with outstanding analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and a strong interpersonal approach, I also serve as an Associate Professor in the Academy of CSIR. I actively contribute to academia by teaching a PhD course on Scentometric analysis and Environmental and Sustainability Policy.


Outstanding contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the CSIR-Raman Research Fellow Award in 2021, which I utilized as a visiting researcher at the University of North Texas, USA. I have also received the CIPSEM Fellowship award in Germany (2021-2022) and the CSIR-Women Achiever in STEM award in 2023.


With a distinguished career, I currently hold the position of Visiting Professor at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. In this role, I undertake independent and collaborative research on big data analytics, bibliometrics/scientometrics, and related review and statistical modeling techniques. My research focuses on identifying patterns in academic research and industrial technologies related to Sustainable Development Goals, with a particular emphasis on oceans-related aspects of climate change mitigation and adaptation.


Having previously served as a Visiting Researcher at the University of North Texas, I conducted research to extract knowledge from various forms of data, contributing significantly to research data lifecycle development and applying data analytics tools to inform policy trends for emerging technologies.


In my longstanding role as Principal Scientist and Associate Professor at CSIR, I have been instrumental in knowledge creation, mapping, and dissemination in the fields of Energy, Environment, and Sustainability. I actively contribute to research emphasizing Data Curation, Data Science, and Data Analytics.


I am not only a dedicated researcher but also a mentor and guide to PhD students, providing mentorship and support throughout their research journey. With my expertise and contributions, I stand as a key figure at the intersection of science, technology, and policy, driving advancements and innovations in her field.
