If you want professional-grade studio monitoring and reliable wired performance for calls, choose Mackie MC Series Professional; if you need a durable replacement shell kit to repair your existing Beats Studio 3 headphones, choose Adhiper Studio3.
These two items sit in completely different categories of audio gear, yet they often appear together when buyers are searching for solutions related to their listening setup. One is a complete, high-performance pair of closed-back headphones designed from the ground up for sound fidelity and durability. The other is not a headphone at all, but a specific set of inner and outer shell components intended to restore a damaged unit. Understanding this fundamental difference is the only way to make a smart decision without wasting money on the wrong product.
• Mackie MC Series Professional: Delivers signature studio sound with precision 50mm transducers and active noise cancellation, but requires a wired connection via a detachable cable.
• Adhiper Studio3: Offers a cost-effective, exact-fit plastic shell repair kit for Beats Studio 3 owners, but provides no audio capabilities or new listening experience on its own.
• Best for: Audiophiles, producers, and remote workers needing dedicated "headphones for calls" who value isolation and clarity.
• Best for: Owners of cracked or broken Beats Studio 3 units who want to save money on repairs rather than buying a brand-new headset.
The Mackie MC-150 is built for people who treat audio as a serious tool rather than just background entertainment. Its primary strength lies in the engineering of the drivers and the enclosure. The specification sheet highlights precision 50mm transducers that deliver incredible clarity across the entire frequency range, from 15Hz to 20kHz. This isn't just about loud volume; it is about hearing every detail in a mix, whether you are a DJ mixing tracks in a studio or a professional taking an important video conference call where voice clarity is non-negotiable. The increased bass response ensures you feel the depth of kick drums and deep synths, which adds a layer of immersion that many budget options simply cannot match.
For anyone looking for sleep headphones for calls or a dedicated gaming headset for calls, the physical design of the Mackie offers distinct advantages. The closed-back design provides optimal low-end and sound isolation, which is critical when you need to focus on what is being said without being distracted by ambient office noise or household sounds. The soft padded adjustable headband and conforming ear pads are engineered for ergonomic fit during long sessions. If you spend hours on the phone or working on a project, the weight distribution and padding help prevent fatigue, making it a viable option for extended wear compared to flimsier consumer models.
However, this product is not for everyone. It is strictly a wired solution, utilizing a 9.8-foot detachable cable with a locking bayonet connector. You will need to manage the cable and potentially use the included gold-plated 1/4" adapter depending on your device. If you require wireless freedom for your daily commute or workouts, this might be a dealbreaker. Additionally, while the collapsible fold-up design makes storage easy, the inclusion of a carry bag and the robust stainless steel enclosure suggests a heavier build intended for travel and rugged use, rather than ultra-lightweight portability. It is best suited for those who prioritize sound quality and build longevity over wireless convenience.

The Adhiper Studio3 listing represents a very specific niche: the DIY repair market. It is not a standalone audio device. Instead, it is a replacement kit consisting of an earphone left shell, right shell, and their corresponding inner shells. The material is listed as plastic, colored gray, and designed to fit the Beats Studio 3 Wireless Over-Ear Headphones perfectly. This product is exclusively for individuals whose original headphones have suffered cosmetic damage, such as cracks in the housing, peeling paint, or structural failure of the outer casing. The goal here is to "save money" by avoiding the high cost of sending a unit away for repair or purchasing an entirely new pair of headphones.
This item is ideal for someone who still loves the sound profile and functionality of their Beats Studio 3 but has compromised the exterior. Perhaps the headphones were dropped, or the hinges are loose due to age. By installing these new shells, the user can restore the aesthetic integrity of the device. The packaging includes the necessary components to swap out the old, damaged parts, provided the user is willing to perform the installation themselves. The instructions note that installing the inner shell requires disconnecting the route, suggesting a level of technical effort that some users might find daunting. However, for those comfortable with following online tutorials or watching instructional videos, this kit offers a practical way to extend the life of their existing hardware.
It is crucial to understand the limitations of this product before considering a purchase. It does not include the actual headphones, the copper inserts for screws, or any audio drivers. It is purely a cosmetic and structural fix. If your issue is with the sound quality, battery life, or connectivity, replacing the shell will do nothing to solve those problems. Furthermore, since the material is plastic, while it is described as high-quality and soft, it may not offer the same premium feel as the original OEM parts if the original was made with different materials. This is a functional repair part, not an upgrade. It fits the needs of the frugal buyer or the tech-savvy enthusiast who refuses to replace a perfectly good electronic device just because the outside looks beat up.

In my opinion, if you are shopping for a new pair of headphones for calls or dedicated studio monitoring, the Mackie MC Series Professional is the only logical choice between these two. It delivers a complete, high-fidelity listening experience with professional-grade isolation and build quality. The Adhiper Studio3 is a useful tool for a specific repair scenario, but it cannot function as a primary audio device. I would buy the Mackie for its ability to handle long workdays and critical listening tasks with confidence. Unless you already own a broken Beats Studio 3 and want to fix it yourself, the Mackie is the superior investment for your audio needs.
