Who are we? Our History...

Mach1 F1 in Schools team is Greek High School and IB team that is participating in the F1 in Schools National Competition. Based in Athens, Greece, Mach 1 is the team that continues the work of WSR from Moraitis School. Together, the team's motivation, skills and enthusiasm helped them achieve a National Record with 0,864 seconds from 2016 and won the last 4 consecutive fastest car awards.

In previous years, our team has been present at F1 in school events with different members and different names. The school team in its first steps participated with the names Acid Bulls & Golden Eagles. Then, joined the competition as White Squall Racing (WSR) and won many awards, including the fastest model and the Best Web Site Award. In the last 2 years our team has decided to make some changes, such as the name change from White Squall Racing to Mach1, as well as the colors from blue-white to red-green-white. This new Re-Branding has helped significantly in areas such as marketing and cost reduction with School colors and our major sponsor.

During these years we have won many awards. Some of the greatest are the following:

The fastest model for 3 consecutive years,
Panhellenic Record with a time of 0.864 sec.,
7th place in the World Championship held at the Austin TX in 2016 and
2nd team in Knock-Out matches.
Team participation in the F1 World Schools Competition in collaboration with the Brazilian team Pocadores
