Samantha McLeod is a fine art student at MacEwan University, currently working towards her diploma and hopefully her BFA as well. Samantha grew up in Leduc, Alberta, and continues to reside there. She also really likes your dog.

My work is about the strangeness of life and the uncertainty of the future in both an intrapersonal sense as well as in regard to the current global climate. When portraying these ideas, I also like to include a sense of absurdity and humour in my work. I use a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture and installation to create spaces for people to contemplate and interact with. To question and make light of the current state of the world, I use tones that incorporate a sense of the surreal and bizarre.
