Artist biography
I am a mixed-media artist, born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. I struggle with both mental illness and disabilities, but throughout my pursuit to live the fullest life I believe I can, I have had the support of my brother and parents. Art allows me to express myself when words fail me.
Artist statement
I am a mixed-media artist that prefers to work mainly with textiles, paint, and sculpture. My art explores social interaction and psychology as well as states of being, and portrays these ideas through a perspective that they are not usually viewed or witnessed. This alternative perspective helps me to better understand myself and the people around me.

Memory is a mixed media textile piece that shows how memories can be either created or distorted over time through the use of two different mediums. The ink represents the memory when it is just starting to be created or almost faded, while the strings and more textile elements symbolise a strong memory that now has personal significance.
