Kate Bang was born in South Korea. She has studied Graphic Design and Fine Arts at Grant MacEwan University. Kate has been included in exhibitions including Min Bid Art Gallery and Auction in Edmonton, where she currently lives and works.

I am heavily inspired by the stories of others and my own thoughts. Being able to share our common fears, hardships, and things we enjoy helps bring us closer together as a community. I sit with friends, families and have volunteered in senior hospitals to listen to the stories of their lives. My artwork primarily consists of paintings as the process makes me feel at peace. I mainly create pieces with a bit of playfulness to emphasize my positive outlook. This has helped me to create much of my work which explores deep emotional themes of existentialism.
