"Florida has a great fossil record spanning to the dawn of the Cenozoic, and its sediments are considered as the best source for Pleistocene fossils in the world. However, beyond this point, there's nothing else found on the surface of the Earth. Paleozoic Florida explores the not so well known Paleozoic fossil record in Florida, and what else can be found if we began to dig deeper."
In this special and short documentary film, Paleozoic Florida, as the name suggests, will explore what fossil taxa have been discovered in the Ordovician, Silurian, and Devonian aged rocks after nearly century-old oil wells uncovered their remains. This special will explore Florida's not so well known fossil record and questions what other fossils can be possibly found if we dig deeper.
