Assignments / Mandatory Office Hour
Doing exercises is essential for learning this material, and will account for 90% of your grade. They will be due each Thursday before lecture, starting with the second week of class. You are encouraged to use LaTeX.
Your solutions must be the result of your own intellectual efforts. Relatedly, I would also like to meet with you individually, twice during the semester, for about 25 minutes per session. (So it adds up to one 50-minute "mandatory office hour" for the semester). We'll discuss your work, and I can offer personalized feedback. Engagement in the office hour will be worth 10% of your grade.
