About me: I completed my PhD in Biomedical Engineering (BME) at the University of Virginia (UVa), USA. I worked as a research assistant in the Imaging and Data Science Lab under the supervision of Prof. Gustavo Rohde. I completed my undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). My research interests broadly lie in applied mathematics, machine learning, image informatics, computational biology, pattern recognition, among others.

Newton, when asked how he managed to make all those important discoveries, replied, “Nocte dieque incubando” (meaning “by thinking about it day and night”): a motto of our lab; a motto of me too. I like to think myself as an apprentice of knowledge and science. I enjoy thought experiments, problem-solving, and learning new things. This website carries a few examples of my core interests, skill-sets, and contributions.
