Ajayakumar Murugan Rathamony, Ph.D.

About me:  I am Ajayakumar, a senior postdoctoral fellow at Tampere University, Finland (2021-current). After Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University (India), I moved to Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona, Spain (2014-2016) and then later to Technische Universität Dresden, Germany (2016-2021) for post-doctoral research. My Ph.D. and postdoctoral training provided me with more than ten years of hands-on experience in the multi-step synthesis of functional organic molecules.

My research focuses on the design and synthesis of new functional organic molecules and the investigation of their physicochemical studies. I have published 27 articles in peer-reviewed international journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem.,PNAS, Chem. Sci., Org. Lett., Chem. Commun., etc.
