The Science Study Team of M-MATISSE is very happy to have had you attend the 2025 M-MATISSE Community Workshop, which was held at University College London, United Kingdom, in the week of the 19th of May 2025. Everyone with interest in this Medium-class (M7) mission candidate was welcome to participate.
There was specific sessions with plenty of time for discussions focussing on:
Science goals of the mission
Connections from the Sun to the surface of Mars
Heliophysics at 1.38-1.66 AU and its influence on Mars
Synergies with Earth plasma and space-weather science
Planetology comparisons (including exoplanets)
Lessons learnt from past/present planetary exploration
The workshop succeeded at bringing the scientific community together to discuss the M-MATISSE M7 mission candidate, specifically focusing on the above aspects, also in order to help with the consolidation of the M-MATISSE science report (Yellow Book).
Participants were invited to submit abstracts addressing one or more of the above topics.
Go M-MATISSE!
