Greetings. I am an assistant professor of bioethics at the Ohio State University. I am primarily interested in research questions that lie at the overlap of empirical biology and philosophy, with a particular emphasis on applications to bioethics. I received a joint PhD in bioethics & philosophy at Saint Louis University, an MA in philosophy at Duquesne University, and a BS in chemical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
I live in Columbus with my lovely wife, Maegan. In my spare time, I like learning languages, looking at art, playing chess, and spending time outdoors.
Research areas:
Biophilosophy, animal bioethics, neuroethics
