Research Experience
Graduate Research Assistant, Geosystems Research Institute, May 2023 – May 2026
High Performance Computing Collaboratory, Mississippi State University (MSU), MS, US.
Employ unmanned aircraft system (UAS)-based global navigation satellite system reflectometry (GNNSS-R) technology with ancillary sensors (Multispectral Camera, LiDAR) for soil moisture estimation over selected field area: data collection and result analysis from three years long field campaign.
Investigate of machine learning (ML)-based techniques for crop yield estimation of corn and cotton using multi-sensor (Multispectral Camera, LiDAR, SM Probe, Weather Station) data: Analyzing optimum feature selection and complete processing sequence.
Detect weed automatically using ML from video data captured from an RGB camera mounted on a UAS platform: Through crop line detection, vegetation and weed labeling, and weed detection by a learning algorithm.
Summer Research Intern, MSU/USDA Graduate Summer Research Experience (SRE) 2025, Link June 2025 – August 2025
Geosystems Research Institute, High Performance Computing Collaboratory, MSU, MS, US.
Developed a customized and comprehensive data and analysis portal automatically integrating all relevant information for satellite-based remote sensing and agricultural research analysis around the Mississippi River basin area.
Modeled of agricultural production through climate variables, geospatial analysis, and cropland data layer masking utilizing data extracted from satellites and USDA through advanced computing.
Summer Research Intern, Geosystems Research Institute, May 2024 – July 2024
High Performance Computing Collaboratory, MSU, MS, US.
Labeled weed and vegetation of corn (Maize) field area image superpixels automatically from UAS mounted RGB GoPro camera video data.
Graduate Research Assistant, InforMation PRocEssing and SenSing (IMPRESS) Lab, August 2021 – August 2022
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, MSU, MS, USA.
Utilized unmanned aircraft system (UAS)-based global navigation satellite system reflectometry (GNSS-R) technology to estimate soil moisture over the designated field area for data acquisition and analysis.
Implemented a signal of opportunity (SoOp) receiver system through the MUOS military satellite signals in the P-band frequency region for the estimation of root-zone soil moisture (RZSM).
