If you want a rugged, open-ear headset for cycling and swimming that keeps your ears free for safety and handles water without issue, choose LYPERTEK SoundFree S30; if you need comfortable over-ear headphones specifically designed for silent TV watching at home with zero audio delay, choose Skyaudio Headphones.
• LYPERTEK SoundFree S30: The biggest strength is its IP68 waterproof rating and bone conduction design, perfect for active use in rain or pools; the trade-off is that it lacks the deep bass isolation of traditional sealed headphones. This pick is for athletes who prioritize situational awareness and durability during outdoor activities like cycling.
• Skyaudio Headphones: The biggest strength is its dedicated USB transmitter for plug-and-play TV connectivity with no audio lag, offering immersive dialogue clarity; the trade-off is that they are closed-back over-ear units not built for sweat, water, or running. This pick is for seniors or home viewers who value comfort and clear sound while relaxing indoors.
The LYPERTEK SoundFree S30 is engineered for people who refuse to compromise on safety while staying active. Its core identity revolves around the open-ear bone conduction design, which sits outside the ear canal rather than plugging it. This allows air to flow freely and lets you hear traffic, wind, and surroundings while listening to music or podcasts. For anyone looking for a reliable headset for cycling, this feature is non-negotiable. You can ride down a busy street or navigate a trail without being isolated from the world, a critical safety factor that sealed headphones simply cannot offer.
Water resistance is another pillar of this device's utility. With an IP68 waterproof certification and TÜV Rheinland 10m approval, this isn't just splash-proof gear; it is built for submersion. If you swim laps, run in heavy rain, or sweat profusely during intense gym sessions, the S30 won't fail. The inclusion of 32GB of internal MP3 storage means you don't even need your phone near you when you are underwater, as Bluetooth signals do not penetrate water effectively. You can store thousands of songs directly on the device and swim phone-free, enjoying uninterrupted audio whether you are in a pool or a lake.

The physical build supports this rugged lifestyle through a titanium memory-wire frame coated in soft silicone. Weighing in at just 0.22 kg, the unit feels almost weightless on your head, reducing fatigue during long rides or workouts. A rear-mounted safety LED adds visibility for early morning or night training, addressing the common concern of being seen by drivers or cyclists in low-light conditions. However, if you are someone who prioritizes deep, bass-heavy immersion or absolute silence from the outside world, this open-ear design might feel too exposed. It trades the "in-your-head" isolation of traditional cans for freedom and safety.
In stark contrast, the Skyaudio Headphones are purpose-built for the living room, specifically for those who want to enjoy television without disturbing others. These are classic over-ear headphones designed with plush faux leather and ABS materials to provide a comfortable seal around the ears. The primary use case here is watching late-night movies or sports without waking up family members. The acoustic tuning focuses on rich, balanced audio with crystal-clear vocals, ensuring that dialogue-heavy shows are easy to follow even at lower volumes. This makes them an excellent choice for seniors or anyone who values speech clarity over explosive bass.
Connectivity is where these headphones truly shine for home entertainment. They come with a USB transmitter that offers a plug-and-play experience, eliminating the hassle of pairing via Bluetooth. This wired wireless setup ensures there is no audio delay, meaning your lips sync perfectly with the actors on screen. For anyone frustrated by the lag often found in standard Bluetooth headsets, this direct connection is a game-changer. The 35-foot wireless range provides plenty of room to move around the house while keeping your TV viewing seamless.
However, the design choices here signal a specific environment. As closed-back, over-ear units, they are not suitable for outdoor exercise. They lack any waterproofing or sweat resistance, making them poor candidates for running or cycling. The lack of noise cancellation features means you will still hear background noise, but the sealed ear cups are intended to keep your audio private, not to block out the world for safety reasons. If you plan to wear these while jogging or commuting, the lack of ventilation and secure fit for movement could lead to discomfort. They are strictly for stationary, relaxed listening.

I would buy the LYPERTEK SoundFree S30 if I were looking for a versatile piece of gear for over ear headphones for cycling or general outdoor fitness. While the Skyaudio model excels at what it does—delivering quiet, high-fidelity TV audio—the limitations of its design make it useless for any activity involving movement or weather. The S30's ability to stay dry, stay visible, and keep my ears open for traffic makes it the superior choice for an active lifestyle. In my opinion, the flexibility of the bone conduction technology outweighs the isolation benefits of the Skyaudio model for anyone who spends time outside.
The LYPERTEK SoundFree S30 is explicitly designed for running and cycling with its open-ear safety design and secure fit. The Skyaudio headphones are closed-back over-ear models not intended for active use or outdoor exercise.
