I currently serve as the Associate Vice President for Technology and Instructional Innovation at Lawrence Technological University.  In this role, I am responsible for all LTU’s technology systems.  I work with faculty to develop innovative courses that employ best practices in content delivery, assessment and engagement,  both on and off-campus.   Prior to joining LTU, I was Technology Director at Dearborn Heights School District #7 where I started the Dearborn Heights Virtual Academy, one of the first completely online high schools in Michigan.

I have worked in the area of Instructional Design and Educational Technology for 20 years.   It is my passion.  I holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Technology from Wayne State University where I was a faculty lecturer for 10 years teaching graduate education courses in assessment, evaluation, and educational technology.   I have presented at ISTE, AECT and State level conferences and continues to research best practices in instructional design and technology.  I believe great instructional experiences happen by educators who understand learning science, apply instructional prociples and are invested in their students.  They bring these elements together 'by design'.
