This Privacy Policy explains how Lynkly ("Lynkly," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
a) Information you provide directly
Account information: Email address used for authentication and account creation.
Subscription entries: Merchant/app name, plan type, cost, billing cycle, next charge dates, usage hours, and category assignments you manually enter.
Discount requests: Service name, your email address, loyalty duration, and likelihood of commitment when requesting group discounts.
Support requests: Content of messages you send to us through Help/Contact forms.
b) Information collected automatically
Device and app data: App version, device type, OS version, language, time zone, and general in-app navigation patterns.
Crash and error diagnostics: Stack traces and technical logs to help us identify and fix problems.
Purchase and subscription status: Non-sensitive purchase events and entitlement states (e.g., Free, Plus, or Pro plan status) processed through RevenueCat.
User identifiers: Unique user IDs generated upon account creation to associate your data with your account.
c) Information from third-party services
Plaid financial data: If you choose to connect your bank account via Plaid, we receive transaction data to help identify and track subscription payments. This includes merchant names, transaction amounts, and dates. Plaid access tokens are securely stored using encrypted vault storage.
RevenueCat subscription data: We receive subscription status, product identifiers, and customer identifiers from RevenueCat to manage your plan entitlements.
d) Android-specific data collection
App usage statistics: On Android devices, with your explicit permission, we may collect app usage data including package names, app names, and time spent in apps. This data is used to provide usage insights for your subscriptions.
Note: Lynkly does not read your personal messages, photos, contacts, or any content within apps. We only collect aggregated time-spent data for apps you explicitly choose to track.
We use your information to:
Provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including rendering Usage, Spending, and Insights features.
Power personalized recommendations (e.g., Keep, Neutral, Cancel suggestions based on usage patterns).
Track price changes in your subscriptions and notify you of increases.
Detect potential duplicate subscriptions to help you avoid unnecessary charges.
Calculate monthly spending summaries and year-over-year comparisons.
Process and fulfill discount requests you submit.
Manage your subscription entitlements (Free, Plus, Pro plans).
Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, support responses, and discount request outcomes.
Prevent fraud, abuse, and secure our Services.
Comply with legal obligations.
Perform analytics to understand feature performance and improve reliability.
Secure infrastructure: Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
Access controls: We implement row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data.
Sensitive data handling: Financial access tokens (e.g., Plaid tokens) are stored in encrypted vault storage, separate from general application data.
Authentication: We use industry-standard authentication practices to protect your account.
While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
Where applicable under GDPR, we process your information under one or more of the following legal bases:
Contract: Processing necessary to provide the Services you requested.
Legitimate interests: Processing for service security, fraud prevention, analytics, and product improvement.
Consent: Where required, such as for optional features like Plaid bank connection or Android app usage tracking.

Service providers that help us operate the Services, each bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations:
RevenueCat: In-app purchase management, subscription processing, and entitlement verification.
Plaid: Bank account connection and transaction data retrieval (only if you opt in).
Lovable Cloud: Database hosting, authentication, and serverless functions.
Apple/Google: App distribution, platform services, and push notifications.
Legal and compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Business transfers: In a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as permitted by law with appropriate protections.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services.
Subscription and spending history data is retained to provide historical insights and year-over-year comparisons.
Monthly spending snapshots are retained indefinitely to preserve your spending history even if individual subscriptions are modified or deleted.
We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution).
You can request deletion of your account and associated data (see "Your Rights & Choices").
Access and update: You can view and edit your subscription entries, usage data, and account settings within the app.
Delete: You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us.
Disconnect third-party services: You can disconnect Plaid bank connections at any time.
Revoke permissions: You can revoke device permissions (e.g., app usage access on Android, notifications) through your device settings.
Opt-out of marketing: If we send marketing communications, you can unsubscribe at any time.
Regional rights: Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable law (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), including rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact us to exercise these rights.

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to delete such information.
Your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries with different data protection laws than your country of residence. Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by relevant authorities.
Our Services may contain links to or integrate with third-party services (e.g., Plaid, RevenueCat, payment processors). Your use of those services is governed by their respective privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use in connection with our app.

If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other appropriate means before the changes take effect.
