PRIVACY POLICY FOR LYNKA

This Privacy Policy explains how Lynka (“Lynka,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Lynka mobile application.
By downloading, installing, or using Lynka, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. ABOUT LYNKA
Lynka is a media management and playback application that allows users to discover supported media, play audio and video, manage local media files, create playlists, edit supported metadata, and save eligible content that the user owns or has permission to use.
Lynka does not require you to create an account with us. Lynka does not ask you to submit a password to servers operated by us.
Some third-party websites or services may require you to sign in through their own application or website. Any information submitted directly to a third-party service is governed by that service’s own privacy policy and terms.
2. INFORMATION WE MAY PROCESS
Depending on how you use Lynka, the following categories of information may be processed.
2.1 Information You Provide
The App may process information that you voluntarily enter or select, including:
- Search terms- Media URLs or links- Audio or video files selected from your device- Playlist names and playlist contents- Media titles, artist names, album names, cover images, and other metadata- Application preferences and settings- Backup files that you choose to create or restore- Messages you send to us by email
Search terms, links, and media information may be transmitted to the relevant third-party media service when necessary to return search results, retrieve metadata, or perform a feature requested by you.
2.2 Local Media and Device Storage
With your permission, Lynka may access audio files and other supported media stored on your device in order to:
- Display your media library- Play audio and video- Organize files and playlists- Read or edit supported media metadata- Display cover images and thumbnails- Save downloaded or converted files- Rename, share, or delete files at your request
On newer Android versions, Lynka requests only the media access needed for its features. On older Android versions, legacy storage permission may be required because of Android platform limitations.
Downloaded media files are stored on your device. They are not automatically uploaded to servers operated by us.
2.3 Country and Region Information
Lynka may determine a general country code to provide locally relevant Discover results.
The country may be determined from one or more of the following:
- Current mobile network country- SIM provider country- Android system region- Device time zone- A previously detected country stored locally on the device
This process does not require GPS access and does not provide Lynka with your precise location.
Third-party services, including advertising or analytics providers, may independently estimate an approximate location based on information such as your IP address.
2.4 Device, Application, and Technical Information
Lynka and its service providers may automatically process technical information such as:
- Device manufacturer and model- Operating system and Android version- App version- Device language and general region- Screen and application activity- Network connection status- Advertising identifier, where permitted- App instance identifiers- Firebase installation or messaging identifiers- Crash logs, stack traces, and diagnostic information- Performance and stability information- Date and time of application activity
2.5 Usage and Analytics Information
Lynka uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve its stability and features.
Analytics events may include general information such as:
- App launches- Screens opened- Search activity- Audio or video download start and completion- Playback activity- Premium or free status- Notification interactions- General feature usage
We do not intentionally include passwords, full file contents, private messages, or payment card information in analytics events.
2.6 Crash and Diagnostic Information
Lynka uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix crashes, application errors, and performance problems.
Crash reports may include:
- Crash stack traces- Device and operating system information- App version- Current or recently opened screen- General actions performed before an error- Premium or free status- Technical identifiers associated with the App installation
2.7 Advertising Information
The free version of Lynka may display advertisements provided through Google Mobile Ads, also known as AdMob.
Depending on your consent, device settings, region, and applicable law, Google and its partners may process information such as:
- Advertising identifier- IP address- Device and application information- Approximate location- Advertisement impressions- Advertisement clicks and interactions- Consent choices- Fraud prevention and security information
Where required, Lynka uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request advertising consent and provide privacy choices.
You can review or change available advertising consent choices through the “Ad Privacy Choices” option in the App, where available.
2.8 Push Notifications and In-App Messages
Lynka uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notifications and Firebase In-App Messaging to display relevant messages within the App.
Firebase may generate a messaging token for your installation. The App may subscribe the installation to general topics based on information such as:
- App language- General country- Free or premium status- General Lynka announcements
You can disable notifications at any time through your Android device settings.
2.9 Purchases and Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing.
We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Google Play processes payment information under Google’s own privacy policy.
Lynka may receive limited purchase-related information, such as:
- Subscription product identifier- Purchase status- Subscription entitlement status- Purchase acknowledgement status
This information is used to provide premium features and verify whether advertisements should be removed.
2.10 In-App Updates and Reviews
Lynka may use Google Play In-App Updates to inform you when a new version is available.
Lynka may also use Google Play In-App Review to request a rating. Google controls whether the rating interface is shown and processes ratings and reviews according to Google Play’s policies.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Information may be used to:
- Provide and operate Lynka’s features- Display and play supported media- Process searches and supported media links- Save and organize files- Personalize Discover results by general country- Maintain playlists, history, and application settings- Provide premium subscription features- Display and measure advertisements- Send notifications and in-app announcements- Diagnose crashes, errors, and performance problems- Prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents- Improve the App’s design, stability, and functionality- Comply with legal obligations- Respond to support and privacy requests
4. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING
Depending on your country, we may rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of the service you request- Your consent- Our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the App- Compliance with legal obligations
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent where the relevant option is available. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.
5. HOW INFORMATION IS STORED
5.1 Information Stored on Your Device
Lynka stores certain information locally, including:
- Application settings- Playlists and library information- Playback or recent activity information- Download records- General country detection results- Review and update prompt status- Premium entitlement state- Media metadata
You can remove much of this information by clearing Lynka’s app data or uninstalling the App. Downloaded media files may remain on your device until you delete them.
5.2 Android Backup and Device Transfer
Android may back up Lynka’s local library database through your Google account or transfer it to another device, depending on your Android backup settings.
Media files, cache files, cookies, passwords, and login session information are not intentionally included in Lynka’s automatic application backup configuration.
If you manually create a Lynka backup, the backup may include application library data and selected safe settings. Media files are not included in the backup unless clearly stated otherwise.
5.3 Information Processed by Service Providers
Analytics, crash reports, messaging information, advertising information, and purchase information may be retained by the relevant service provider according to its own retention settings and privacy policy.
6. SHARING OF INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information ourselves.
Information may be shared with or processed by service providers necessary to operate the App, including:
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob- Google User Messaging Platform- Firebase Analytics- Firebase Crashlytics- Firebase Cloud Messaging- Firebase In-App Messaging- Google Play Billing- Google Play In-App Updates- Google Play In-App Review- Android and Google Play services- Third-party media services that you choose to search, open, or interact with
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or government request- Protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the App, or others- Investigate fraud, misuse, or security issues- Enforce applicable terms and policies- Complete a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of the App, subject to appropriate safeguards
7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND CONTENT
Lynka may display search results, media information, links, advertisements, or content provided by third-party services.
Lynka does not control the privacy practices, availability, content, or security of third-party services. Your interaction with a third-party service is governed by that service’s privacy policy and terms.
You should review the privacy policies of Google and any media platform you choose to use.
8. ADVERTISING CHOICES
Where required by law, Lynka presents a consent form before requesting certain advertisements.
Depending on your location and device, you may be able to:
- Accept or reject certain advertising purposes- Review advertising partners- Change consent through “Ad Privacy Choices”- Reset or delete your Android advertising identifier- Limit advertising personalization through your Google or Android settings
Premium users may receive an ad-free experience depending on the active subscription terms.
9. PERMISSIONS
Lynka may request the following Android permissions:
Internet and Network Access:Used to search supported services, retrieve metadata, display advertisements, check subscriptions, receive messages, and download eligible files.
Notification Permission:Used to show download progress, playback controls, completed download notices, and optional announcements.
Audio or Media Access:Used to display, play, organize, and manage accessible audio or other supported media files on your device.
Legacy Storage Access:Used only on older Android versions where required to access or save files.
Foreground Service Permission:Used to continue downloads, data synchronization, or media playback when the App is not in the foreground.
Vibration:Used for supported notification feedback.
Advertising ID:May be accessed by Google advertising services where permitted.
You can manage permissions through Android Settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
10. DATA RETENTION
Locally stored information is generally retained until:
- You delete the relevant item- You clear the App’s data- You uninstall the App- The App automatically removes temporary cache information
Downloaded media files remain on your device until you delete them.
Information processed by Google or another service provider is retained according to that provider’s own policies and configured retention periods.
Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain support records, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
11. DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information processed through the App.
However, no application, network transmission, device, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for protecting any backup or downloaded files that you create.
12. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Lynka is not directed to children under the age of 13 or the minimum digital-consent age required in the user’s country.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through an account registration system.

13. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Request access to personal information- Request correction of inaccurate information- Request deletion of certain information- Object to or restrict certain processing- Withdraw consent- Request data portability- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
Because Lynka does not require an account with us, we may not be able to identify analytics, advertising, or diagnostic information as belonging to a specific person without additional technical information.
For locally stored information, you can usually delete the information by removing the relevant items, clearing the App’s data, or uninstalling Lynka.
For information processed by Google, you may also need to use the privacy controls provided by Google.

14. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Google and other service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
Where required, service providers may use contractual, organizational, or legal safeguards for international transfers.
15. COPYRIGHT AND RESPONSIBLE USE
Lynka must only be used with media that you:
- Created- Own- Are authorized to access- Have permission to save, convert, edit, or download
You are responsible for complying with copyright laws, privacy rights, third-party platform terms, and local laws.
Lynka does not grant permission to download or use copyrighted, private, login-restricted, DRM-protected, or otherwise unauthorized content.
16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to:
- Lynka’s features- Legal requirements- Service providers- Data processing practices
The updated policy will display a revised “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated within the App or through another appropriate method.
Continued use of Lynka after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the revised policy.
