Youth Advocacy in NGO CSW
Lydia was honored to represent the Girl Scouts of Taiwan at the NGO CSW conferences, where she actively participated in global discussions on youth leadership, gender equality, and women’s empowerment. Through her experiences at CSW68 and CSW69, she strengthened her leadership, collaboration, and advocacy skills while engaging with inspiring changemakers worldwide.
Activity Highlights - CSW69
At CSW69, Lydia co-facilitated the session “Youth Leading the Change: Breaking Barriers, Building the Future,” in collaboration with the UN Youth Office and WAGGGS. She was involved in organizing the session and leading discussions, gaining deeper insights into the challenges youth face in leadership and participation. She also led the Girl Scouts of Taiwan team, coordinating with the Girl Scouts of the USA and WAGGGS, which further developed her leadership and project management skills. After returning to Taiwan, Lydia organized a sharing session to encourage young women to step outside their comfort zones and participate in international experiences.

At CSW68, Lydia represented the Girl Scouts of Taiwan to share how financial literacy education empowers girls. She gained valuable insights from global speakers, including how programs like the Girl Scouts cookie program build confidence and leadership, case studies from Tunisia, and the role of mentorship in empowering young women. These experiences reinforced her commitment to advancing gender equality and inspired her to further engage in advocacy work.
